| Day 01: |
Arrive Delhi in the morning. You will be met and transferred to the hotel for 1 night. In the afternoon visit the sights of Old Delhi. |
| Day 02: |
Morning at leisure. In the afternoon fly to Udaipur, considered to be one of the most romantic cities in India, and transfer to your hotel for three nights. |
| Day 03: |
In the morning you tour the city and see impressive City Palace, the biggest Palace complex in Rajasthan, the beautiful gardens of Sahelion – Ki – Bari, and the Jagdish Temple. Afternoon free. |
| Day 04: |
The day is at leisure. An optional excursion to the famed Jain temples at Ranakpur, known for the intricacy of their sculpture, can be arranged. |
| Day 05: |
Another day at leisure to soak in the atmosphere of this beautiful city. In the evening fly to Jaipur and transfer to the hotel for 3 nights. |
| Day 06: |
Morning excursion to Amber where the hilltop fort is climbed on an elephant back. The afternoon is free to explore the bazaars. Jaipur is considered a shoppers paradise. |
| Day 07: |
Morning visit the city sights. Afternoon at leisure. |
| Day 08: |
Morning drive to Agra visiting the deserted city of Fatehpur Sikri en route. ( Optional halt at Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary en route ). Stay at the hotel for 2 nights. |
| Day 09: |
Morning visit the sights including the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the tomb of Itamud-ud-daula. Afternoon at leisure, perhaps for a second visit to the eternal monument to, the Taj Mahal. |
| Day 10: |
A short flight in the morning to Khajurao, famous for it’s 10th century Chandela dynasty temples with erotic sculptures. Transfer to the hotel. Visit the sights in the afternoon. |
| Day 11: |
Another short flight in the morning brings you to the holy city of Varanasi, one of the oldest cities in the world, contemporary with Niniveh and Thebes. This is the most important pilgrimage centre for the Hindus. Transfer to the hotel for 1 night. In the afternoon visit Sarnath, where Buddha delivered his first sermon and set in motion the wheel of “Karma”. |
| Day 12: |
Early morning boat ride on the Holy Ganges to see the devotees at prayer along the “ghats”. Also visit the city and a factory weaving the famous Benares silk in pit-looms. In the afternoon fly to Delhi/Kathmandu. |
