Short Treks (4, 5 days)

Introduction

Travel Duration: 4, 5 days
Trip Grade: Easy

The hills that form the rim of the Kathmandu Valley and those a little beyond offer fantastic views of the Himalayas and are peopled by farmers still practicing their age old traditional lifestyles. There are many options for short treks from Kathmandu, but the Shivapuri Trek is probably one of the best choice.

Other Alternative is Royal Trek. Deriving it’s name from the time the Prince Of Wales took to hike this trail in the early 1980′s, the Royal Trek is a short foray into the hills above the Pokhara valley for great views of the Annapurnas and Gurung villages.
